My Go-To Winter Uniform

There is a phrase I’ve never used before but would definitely describe my style with it… and I am officially admitting it here, today.

And you know what?! There really is nothing wrong with it. I actually really dislike when people have their own little policy where they refuse to repeat an outfit. Like… then what’s the point of creating it? Now I definitely won’t advocate wearing the exact same outfit in a couple week’s time. But I do believe in creating a sort of go-to formula each season, because ya know there are a lot of Mondays… Tuesdays… everydays where I just don’t want to think but still want to love what I wear, and want something that represents me. One can never have enough roomy, cozy sweaters – now that’s a fact. I prefer turtlenecks for two reasons, 1) this amazing, wonderful city is freakin’ FRIGID, and 2) a turtleneck feels super chic to me, they’re incredibly flattering because they accentuate your face and elongate your figure. And that’s also why I’ve been really loving on the front-tuck these days. It also elongates your figure by making your legs look longer! Especially tucking in to a high-waisted style. But it’s oddly starting to warm up fast here, so linking some non-turtleneck, more spring-y sweaters below – great for spring transitioning.

 

 

When it comes to my closet, I’m all about comfort, first and foremost. I have a few low-heeled booties for this season, but this patent black pair have been a go-to. Even though they’re simple ankle booties, they still make a nice statement with the flashy material. And they are hella comfy!
