End of Week Edit #30

Hey guys, happy Friday!

Sorry I haven’t really had any legit content on the blog this week, it was a busy weekend last weekend with the Blogger Closet Sale (btw – if you’re a local blogger and interested in joining the next one, shoot me an email at nycbloggerclosetsale@gmail.com).

Also, I’m still trying to plan my year so I can be more efficient moving forward. Having two jobs is not easy! Quite honestly, lately I’ve felt really overworked (especially after this holiday season) and am now having trouble turning it off. I get home from my day job and immediately start working on something for The Freckled Life or freelance work for clients (see my Services page here). And if I don’t start working or decide to take that night off…. it just doesn’t work mentally for me. I end up feeling like I’ll be behind on something… or like a feeling of guilt that I’m not giving this side hustle my all.

But balance is so important so I’m going to try to be better about it.

So if there’s a week where I only post a Reader Survey (have you taken it yet? click here please! + there’s an opportunity to win a Nordstrom gift card) and an End of Week edit to the blog – THAT’S OKAY.

I’ll stop my little rant, but I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for being here, supporting this hustle of mine, and being the greatest readers ever! I appreciate all of you more than you could ever know.

…and now on to what I’ve been loving lately in this End of Week Edit:
Bamboo-initial-necklace-celine-lookalike-trendy-affordable-cheap1. my new initial necklace

The best way to describe this necklace: compliment-magnet. I was surprised so many people liked it (I got several comments from both fashion-oriented people and non-fashion, normal folk). I feel like it’s because the piece is pretty unique and definitely a statement piece (without being too crazy). I love how big it is and my favorite way to wear it is over sweaters. Something about the texture of the sweater and the texture and oversize of the necklace makes for a great pairing.

Note: This is an almost exact replica to a fairly well-known Celine piece, just in case you didn’t know! It’s very trendy in the fashion world right now, which is why there are so many look-alikes on the market.

Athleisure has officially reached its peak, especially with the rise of the latest trend: chunky dad sneakers (a trend of which I have mixed feelings about haha – how do you guys feel about it?). I love a good matching set no matter what the occasion. When the co-ord trend came about, I was more than thrilled. Sharing a few matching sweatsuits that I’ve been eye-ing lately, all pretty affordable.

Plus, the LOFT set (light grey with a yellow heart on the sweatshirt) is 40-50% off right now (sweatshirt is 50% off no code needed; pants are 40% off with code YESPLEASE)

Also, both the left set above (from Who What Wear at Target) and the right set above (from Abercrombie) also come in light gray.

3. HURRAW! lip balm

As you might already know, clean beauty is a new journey I’ve just begin a few months ago (read why it’s important to me here). It’s one I’m super excited about (because beauty should be good for you!) and from my research, I’ve learned that most lip balms and chapsticks do not contain the best ingredients. This is something I use all the time, so I’ve been on the hunt for the best clean option. My favorite so far is definitely this HURRAW! one. And I love the coconut flavor I got, but they also make SO many different scents.
