End of Week Edit #23

over-the-knee-boots-outfit

1. these thigh-high boots

These boots are definitely the sweet spot between affordability, comfortability, and quality. Full price they’re $99, but I’ve found them cheaper at a couple different places below. They fit perfectly around my fairly small thigh, and are definitely great for people who have issues with the boot staying up – these will, I promise! I think the heel is the perfect, every-day height, and honestly they look a lot more expensive than they are. They come in black and a gorgeous taupe (I want those, too!), shop below.

 2. this mug (an AWESOME gift for anyone who watches)

We are having a gift exchange (today!) at work for valentine’s day since we forgot to do a holiday one, and I found this while looking for a good gift. So freaking cool, I’m obsessed. I’d get it if I didn’t have so many great mugs already…

why-i-love-the-honeycrisp-apple

3. the honeycrisp apple

I know I know, I realize this is produce. But guys – if you don’t know about this apple already, you really need to check it out! (if you like apples) It’s just the best flavored apple I’ve ever tasted – crisp, juicy, and both a little sweet / a little tart.

Short story of how I discovered this amazing fruit… So rewind to a few years ago when, all of a sudden, I develop a (minor) allergy to several different fruits with similar skins on them (so apples, peaches, etc.). Basically my throat would just get itchy, but I stopped eating them because it was uncomfortable and sometimes my mouth would tingle when it was really bad… so it seemed like the best idea to just totally avoid them. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I finally decided I wanted to try every single type of apple I could possibly find to see if I reacted to all of them (before I pretty much exclusively ate gala, sometimes a granny smith). The results? I am *not* allergic to the honeycrisp and also BTW it’s the most delicious apple ever created!! Seriously I would know because I just ate every kind in the last week… and P.S. it was actually created in a lab, and honestly they deserve a medal or something. So next time you’re in the market, give it a try! And hey it makes a great healthy snack 🙂
