Hue of the Month | a Bright Fuchsia Pink

Happy March! ….can you believe it’s already March?! I seriously can’t, especially since it’s my birthday month – soon to be 24 ah!

So I went with a really bold hue for this month: a bright fuchsia pink. I’m sure many of you are not too open to adding this to your wardrobe, but hear me out!! Because I was skeptical at a time too. Read on for some styling tips that’ll hopefully make you love this hue as much as I do!

Pink is definitely having a huge moment. I think anyone even slightly familiar with the fashion world knows blush is pretty much the ‘it’ color right now. But I like to think of my Hue of the Month posts as fashion-forward and looking to the next big thing, and I really feel as though hotter, brighter pinks are slowly coming back.

Shop My Outfit: BLACK SKATER DRESS (Lush via Nordstrom) (Similar Here & Here) | LIPSTICK (Milk in color Gnarly) | HEELS (Sam Edelman via DSW)  | JACKET (Loft) (Similar Here & Here)

My two favorite ways to incorporate this vibrant hue are both featured in my look: with lipstick or with shoes (or both!). I saw these shoes in DSW when I was shopping with a gift card and knew they would be such a fun addition to my (mostly neutral) wardrobe, especially for the spring and summer time. I think it’s fun to snag something you wouldn’t normally buy when you have a gift card. Plus the silhouette of the shoe is classic.

This is definitely a tough color to style. I went a bit safe and paired this hue with just black and cream pieces, but you can definitely get more fun with it. I found 3 outfits (above) that I thought would portray my favorite combinations best. I love love when its paired perfectly with a salsa red – it is stunning and you will definitely be the focus of any room. My other two preferred pairings are b/w stripes and icy blues, both neutrals that play a beautiful secondary role in the ensemble.

There are some textiles that I think keep this hue fresh for the upcoming season. I am loving anything fuchsia that is shiny, suede, silky or satin-y. I included a lot of these textures in the shop section below – I’m particularly loving the bomber jacket and ruffle cold shoulder top.

I hope you enjoy styling fuchsia as much as I do! Scroll below to shop some of my favorite pieces to incorporate this beautiful hue into your wardrobe this season.
