End of Week Edit #4

1. Beauty subscription boxes: Ipsy/Glossybox
I’ve been really loving my beauty subscription boxes lately. It’s nice to have that surprise package every month, plus you get to learn about and try so many different products and brands. This is especially nice because beauty can get seriously expensive. And then once you do find your “holy grail” products, you still have to replace them every few months or so.
You should know there are quite a few options out there for these subscription boxes; if you are interested in doing one, I recommend researching a few before you choose. I know there’s Ipsy, Glossybox, Birchbox, Play by Sephora, Boxycharm, Allure Beauty Box, and Julep Beauty Box – to name a few.

I’ve been using Ipsy for about 5 months or so and LOVE it. They really are sending me products that fit me and what I want. After each month’s bag, you can rate each individual product; and they have clearly listened to my reviews because my bags just keep getting better and better! It’s $10 a month and you usually get 5 products, containing a mix of deluxe samples and full size products.

The other service I’m familiar with is Glossybox. I just received my first one and am really impressed with the value that it has for only being ~$20 a month. I feel like I got a LOT of product including a decent-sized fragrance.  What my first box contained is pictured above – can’t wait to try it all!

2. this detail, from Hermés Fall/Winter 2012

Saw this on Pinterest this week and just love everything about it- so subtle, so chic, so organically beautiful. It’s also an appropriate choice for today since it’s NYFW here in NYC.

3. this V day place setting, via Rue Mag

Isn’t this just the absolute sweetest? Whether its a galentine’s soiree or just dinner with the SO, this really is just the prettiest place setting for the holiday.
