This is my absolute favorite time to buy swimwear because almost all of it is on sale by now. I’m not huge on following swimwear trends, and I think most people are on the same page with me on that. It’s hard enough to find styles that compliment your body type, but to also incorporate trends into swimwear (pieces that you don’t even wear on a daily basis) just seems silly to me. So it doesn’t tend to matter when I’m searching through sale racks or online since I usually go for more simple styles/colors that I’ll like for a while. Also, I really enjoy mismatching tops and bottoms, so it doesn’t matter to me if I find only a cute top or bottom in my size. Do you guys do that, too?
Last weekend I made a trip to Lord & Taylor. L&T has actually been one of my favorite swimwear shopping destinations for a long time because they always have great deals and on really good brands too – like Calvin Klein & Ralph Lauren (brands that have classic swimsuit styles that never get old). I still have and love a Ralph Lauren swimsuit top that I got at L&T back in high school – and they still sell it! I have it in turquoise.
I ended up finding a cute embellished bikini top and some high-waisted bottoms to match (pictured above) – and my total for both was under $40! I’m really excited because I’ve been wanting some high-waisted bottoms for awhile, and the ones I got are very flattering. Btw – the top and bottom I found are completely different brands and are not meant to be paired with each other but the reds actually match perfectly and they look amazing together, I can’t believe how lucky I got. It really is worth going through the racks – I swear!
I’ve included my faves down below that are all on sale online. I do think you find much better style and size choices in stores, but online isn’t too bad either. Shop away!
